Canadiens blanked by Comets
Despite generating scoring chances and odd-man rushes on Wednesday evening, the Fort William Canadiens were unable to find the back of the net and fell 2-0 to the Current River Comets.
The Comets’ scored the lone goal of the first period when Bradley Kaemingh snapped home a puck from the slot area.
After a scoreless second period, the Comets’ Connor Brindley netted a goal in a similar fashion to the Comets first goal and gave the Comets a 2-0 win.
Notes: The Canadiens killed their lone penalty and did not have any powerplay opportunities; In the early game, the West End Bruins and Fort William Hurricanes finished in a 3-3 tie; The Canadiens return to the ice versus the Volunteer Pool Bearcats on Monday evening.
