Canadiens conclude October with 2-2 tie

On Wednesday evening, the Fort William Canadiens and West End Bruins battled to a 2-2 draw.

Less than two minutes into the game, Owen Renn beat the Bruins’ defender down the left wing and snapped home his second of the season.

Minutes later, the Bruins evened the score with Boston Bortolin scoring on a two on one break.

Early in the second period, Joseph Joubert found himself alone behind the Bruins’ defense and outwaited the netminder to backhand home his fifth of the season.

Midway through the third period, Nicholas Silvaggio scored on an odd-man rush to even the score at 2-2.

Connor Menard earned the tie in net.

Notes: Both teams were 0-1 on the powerplay; The Canadiens wore there dark jerseys but were officially the home team as the Bruins are waiting for their home jerseys to be available for use; In the late game, the Fort William Hurricanes defeated the Volunteer Pool Bearcats; The Canadiens return to game action on Wednesday versus the Current River Comets.
